My Care Solution is pleased to announce the appointment of Mel Chesser as Regional Operations Manager effective 1 January 2022.
Mel will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of in-home aged care services in the Fleurieu Peninsula through the management of human resources, scheduling, and general operations.
The management team was unanimous in endorsing Mel as a result of her years of her experience, education, and achievements, which was validated by her strong performance as a Client Care Coordinator in the Victor Harbor region.
My Care Solution’s Chief Operating Officer, Gabby McBriarty, said: “Mel’s 14 years of experience in various aged care roles, her study in psychology and counselling, and her first-hand experience as a caregiver will support her in effectively managing many facets of the Victor Harbor team, including its caregivers, Client Service Coordinators and Administrative Assistants.
“Mel is highly enthusiastic, driven, and passionate about maintaining the strong My Care Solution culture. She is approachable and positive in nature, and she has the confidence of the management team in her leadership and deep understanding of the business.”

What will your role as Regional Operations Manager entail?
My role as Regional Operations Manager will be to provide leadership and support to our Fleurieu Peninsula caregivers, but also manage the general operations of our Victor Harbor office. I am very excited about this role; we have an amazing team, and I am looking forward to working with them all more closely.
What do you like most about working with My Care Solution?
I enjoy working with My Care Solution, as I feel the management have taken the time to get to know me and the strengths I bring to the company. I also appreciate the service My Care Solution strives to offer, and the respect shown to each of our clients.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
When I am not working, I am spending time with my family. I enjoy cooking, bush walking and going to the beach…with children in tow!
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
There are many snippets of wisdom I have heard over the years…by far the most common is to enjoy my children when they are little, as time goes by way too fast. This is something I reflect on daily, and it helps me to stress less and enjoy the little moments!
Which My Care Solution value do you align with the most?
Humility, closely followed by humour! Each time I meet a new client or caregiver, I am reminded that we are all different, but each one of us has something valuable to offer. It is a privilege to be welcomed into someone’s life, and I have learnt so much from the people I have worked with.
